Suck

Well, Jeremy quit the other night. It was just a matter of time anyway. I, in a way, am jealous. He’s out now, like I wish I could be. But I guess I don’t have the luxury that he does right now financially.

I watched 2 episodes of Roswell tonight after work. It’s really good. I am definitely getting into it. Liz, the main character, is really pretty. Apparently she was 21 when the first season was filmed, but she looks younger. The very first scene, she looked about 20 or so, but most of the other ones, especially her in school, made her look a lot younger, 16 or 17 maybe. It might be the way her hair was done, though. I am definitely looking forward to watching more.

I think I am going to try to make a few positive changes in my life right now:

1. Exercise more
2. Taking multivitamin pills
3. Go swimming this summer
3. Drink no regular soda
4. Don’t eat anything at work

Hopefully this will help me lose weight. I really want to get in shape. I feel as though I’ve let myself go the last year or so, and I want to fix that. I know I can do it. Justin, if you’re reading this in the future and you haven’t succeeded in this goal? Why not? What is it that has kept you from it?

Hi

Sometimes it feels as though I update this quickly, without any in-depthness involved. But I guess it doesn’t matter, since it doesn’t need to be exciting or anything, as it’s just a personal record. I can always just recall on my own if I want to reminisce, right?

I watched She’s the Man a few weeks ago at Hatt/Jeremy’s house. It was pretty great, actually. I’d forgotten just how beautiful Amanda Bynes is. I remembered her from All That, of course, and then as a panelist on Figure It Out. I watched some of the Amanda Show, but I never got into it much. I caught What a Girl Wants a few days ago and it was even better (more of her not pretending to be a dude =P). I wish she had more things lined up right now, but she doesn’t have much on the table for some reason. I love her style in movies, a down-to-earth goofy girl. I’m sure she wants to shy away from that image, but I’m sure I’m not the only one out here in audience land that would be perfectly content if she didn’t.

Saw Fired Up! last night at Malco Hollywood. It was hilarious! Sure, it’s a little bit of a stupid movie, but not to the extent that I dislike, for instance, the [Insert Genre Here] Movie (Scary Movie, Epic Movie). It was a good, fun, entertaining watch. But we were the only ones in the theatre until 20 or so mins. in. At that point a group of 3 or something came in, but that was it. I can see now how it only scored 6 million its opening weekend, but I think it deserves much more than that, honestly.

It’s really nice out today. Not too sunny, or windy, or hot. Just right, I think. A few degrees up wouldn’t bother me, though, but it’s still pretty great. I wish all days could be like this. I’m pretty tired of the cold weather. Of the winter in general. I don’t like the temperatures at either extreme, so the spring/fall seasons are my favorites. It makes me want to get out and ride a bike or something, but this isn’t really the neighborhood to do that in. It would be great exercise and a way to get out of the house more. I might consider buying one. It’d be nice to ride past the breeze on a nice day.

Classes are going decently. I wish I hadn’t lost so much time in the academic area though. I still have at least 2 more years before I’m able to graduate. I’ll be 26. It’s just a little depressing thinking about working at my current job for 2 more years, minimum. But I’ve thought about it and I think i will take the opportunity to travel to Huelva, Spain when I’m in my Senior year. It’ll be an amazing experience that I think will be incredibly useful with helping my Spanish. Although, I’m not quite at the point where I’d be able to start that. At least 3-4 more semesters.

Well, I didn’t end up going to the AKAs show because my friend ended up having to work even though he requested off over a month in advance. I couldn’t find someone else to tag along on such short notice, so I just stayed home and did productive school wok since I didn’t feel like making the road trip by myself. I would’ve liked to have made that show more than most of the ones I’ve been to recently, but maybe they’ll play around here soon again. I have found on that the Horror Pops are playing at Vino’s on May 11th! That will be a fun show, and I’m definitely going to hit that one up.

I cut my hair on Tuesday. Well, not personally, but I got it cut. It was a tough decision since I’d spent so much time growing it out, but it was also getting a lot of trouble to deal with, and I was having headaches more often than I should because I had to pull it back into a pony tail pretty tight for work. It probably looks better now though anyway. Or at least I assume most would think so.

I upgraded to the Samsung SGH-I907 Epix phone the other day. I have been eligible for an upgrade since January so I decided to make the plunge. It’s a really good phone, and I like it a lot. It’s much better than the cheapy phone I bought as a temporary stint until I could upgrade. That phone sucked. It didn’t even have a camera. I mean, it was better than my first one since at least it didn’t lag on menus or anything, but it had very few features to care about. Here is a photo of it, although this isn’t a personal picture:

Ehhhh

Not sure what to update. I’m doing okay. The show I want to go to is very soon! I’m excited for it. Don’t know if I mentioned this in past blogs, but I got a couple books a few weeks ago, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time and Confederacy of Dunces. Almost done with Curious Incident, but I haven’t read any of it in over a week because I’ve been doing other things. Will finish it soon. I think I’ll pick up the next book in the No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency series. I read the first one a long time ago, maybe two years?, and I really liked it but never got around to reading any more of the line.

Heroes and Office have started back. The Heroes Fugitive chapter is the current plot arc. The first episode was really good! I have high hopes for the rest of the season. It’s a great comeback, and I hope Heroes picks up the steam it had in season 1.

In sadder news, I swallowed a ball on my tongue piercing jewelry today at work at some point, so now I have to buy a new barbell. May not be a bad thing, however, since I’ve been meaning to get a shorter barbell for some time, considering the one I currently have is too long and sometimes gets caught in stuff. I could also order new plugs for my ears (2 ga.) and make use of the 2 ga. tapers I bought the last time I stretched.
